Wraparound Care at Outwood Primary Academy Newstead Green
Our Wraparound Care provision offers safe, stimulating, and happy before and after-school childcare for all children attending Outwood Primary Academy Newstead Green, from Reception to Year 6 (term-time only).
We are incredibly proud that OPA Newstead Green offers our families a wraparound provision both for Breakfast Club and After School, offering parents/carers the flexibility and security of knowing that their child can be pre booked into the clubs in advance of them being taken.
Breakfast Club
Start the school day the right way at our Breakfast Club! At OPA Newstead Green, we believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and our Breakfast Club gives children the best start to the day by offering a nutritious breakfast. Beyond the great food, joining us early has fantastic benefits: it gives children a calm and positive start to their day, making them feel settled and ready to learn before the first bell rings. It also provides a wonderful chance to enjoy a bit of social time with friends and staff, ensuring everyone arrives in class energised and focused for a day of brilliant learning! Anutritious breakfast ensures children start their school day in the best possible way. Breakfast gives children the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons.

Breakfast Club runs every day of the school year (term time only) from 7:45am – 8:45am, and offers flexibility to parents to support with employment, childcare and at a very competitive rate. Breakfast Club is run and managed by a dedicated team of staff, who all also support children in school during the day in a different capacity, so there is always a familiar adult waiting to greet children with a smile.
After SchoolClub
Join our After-School Club for a blast of fun and friendship! After the school bell rings, we kick things off with a delicious and light tea, featuring popular choices like sandwiches, crumpets, or beans on toast, alongside healthy fuel from fresh fruit, vegetable sticks, and yoghurt. Once tummies are happy, the afternoon is packed with exciting activities! You can settle down at the homework tables for a quiet start, unleash your creativity with amazing crafts, dive into board games, or relax during our movie time and reading corners. Plus, we always have special seasonal and themed activities to keep things new and engaging, making every afternoon a fun adventure! We are incredibly proud of our after-school club offer. After-schools clubs not only give children the opportunity to develop a new passion or skill or provide exit routes for progression, but give children the chance to work with a range of different children and staff.

Bookings andPayments
All bookings are solely to be made via the ParentPay Clubs module. Payment will be required at the time of the booking. You must book and pay for your place in advance, the minimum advance notice to book and pay is 12.00pm the previous day. This is to ensure we have the correct adult to child ratio for all children in the provision.
For children attending Breakfast and/or After School Club payment can be made via ParentPay, Childcare Choices Tax-Free Childcare Vouchers. All families accessing Wraparound and using Childcare Vouchers need to complete this form. This is so that our finance team can allocate the funds to ParentPay correctly.
Just so you know, parents are liable for all sessions booked, and payment is expected even for non-attended sessions if block-booked. Arrears will result in the prevention of further attendance.Once a booking has been made, there is no ability on ParentPay to make a change. Should you wish to make any amendments to bookings made, you would need to speak to the school office. Amendments will only be honoured with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Should the wraparound breakfast club provision need to close due to unforeseen circumstances, refunds will be given.
We strongly suggest that if you need to use Wraparound to book as soon as you can to secure any places you will need, as this is open to the full school. You are able to book up to a half-term at a time. The booking will show as green and say booked on each day you have a confirmed place. You must add credit to the account in advance.
