Kool 4 Kidz is an external provider which operates from Ryhill Junior and Infants School, Monday-Friday during the times of 3.00pm-6.00pm Term time only.
The children from OPA Newstead Green are collected daily from the main school office and escorted to Ryhill Junior and Infants School by a member of the Kool4Kidz staff via a walking bus. Children wear high viability waistcoats while walking between the schools.
Kool for Kidz after school club provides out of school care for children aged between 3 - 11 years old for the villages of Ryhill, Havercroft and South Hiendley. They provide a safe, stimulating and happy environment where children are cared for by professional, DBS checked, experienced and trained play work staff.
Kool 4 Kidz have a good variety of play resources and toys for children to choose from. They also provide designated spaces for children to take part in art and craft activities, there is a quiet space where children can relax and play or they can read quietly.
While at Kool 4 Kidz the children also enjoy a varied programme of both freely chosen and adult-led play activities. This involves outdoor play using the school playground, arts and crafts, cookery, dressing-up, imaginative play and sports.
Children are supervised by at least two Playworkers at all times to a ratio of no more than eight children aged 4 and over to one adult. All Children aged 3 are supervised to a ratio of no more than five to one adult. There is always a trained paediatric first aider certificate holder on duty each day.
They are OFSTED registered to care for up to 50 children at one time.
During the 3 hour session, children enjoy a light healthy snack and drinks. Water is available throughout the session.
